Been lurking this site for 6 yrs and in same boat as you. Did my due diligence and I couldn't come to any other conclusion than BCM. Best bang for buck as you say and there stuff is top top tier according to all research and things I have read on this forum. Bought a complete upper in june and just got another during there latest sale. I can guarantee you will be extremely satisfied with BCM.
I only own Colt's now. Used to own LMT's and some other off brands. Seems Colt's always hold their value.
Colt 6720 or 6920.
Another enthusiastic vote for the Colt. They are crazy cheap right now. I bought two new, LE6920's with MagPul furniture, three weeks ago for $760 each. Just hard to beat the value. As others have said, check with Grant.

Yes...all sane suggestions DO point to the 6720.
I already have a Colt 6920 and a 6940 and don't need a 6720 but man....it is tempting! The 6720 is light and oh so handy and a steal at that price. Depending on how my spending goes for Christmas gifts...I might just pick one up because they are so nice.
Buy it now...before the next Muzzie shooting and before it becomes a "pre-ban" piece! LOL
if you don't like it, you can probably double your money in the second week of November, 2016.
Wow, great prices, particularly given the current climate. If I wasn't trying to thin the herd right now I would be very tempted to buy and put away one or two Colts (and maybe be BCM). Fact is I just sold an Olympic Arms AR that I bought 10 years ago and that had about 1500 rounds through it. Got about 90% of what I paid for it. Hard not to believe you could buy a Colt now, shoot the hell out of it for a couple of years and then sell it for nearly what you paid for it even if the political climate doesn't change any. And if Ms. Clinton gets in ... who knows what the prices will be.

you will end up changing out the furniture anyway.
It's no wonder that truth is stranger than fiction. Fiction has to make sense. Mark Twain
I'm going sound like a broken record, but in that price range, the Colt wins. It's the standard that others attempt to meet (and/or exceed). You can't go wrong with it. If you were to sell it in the future, you'll get the best bang for your buck at that price. Plus, Grant (G&R) is easy to deal with and a great guy running a small business.
