    I shot my 6x6 bull in 2009 with a 270 with federal blue box 150gr soft point at maybe 40 yards and it didnt exit. Win mod 70 20inch barrel. Same with a cow in 2013. Sorry, no pics pics or weights.

    I took a 4x4 Roosevelt elk last November at about 60 yards using a .308 with a 165 grain Hornady SST. 1 shot behind the shoulder did the trick. I recovered the bullet in the hide on the opposite side. It expanded very well, much like your first bullet. Recovered weight was a around 140 grains.
