    Best 3 AR Arsenal - Need Input/Advice

    Currently have:

    1) AR-10 Style 308: Daniel Defense DD5V1 (scoped for longer distances)
    2) AR Pistol/SBR 300 Blackout: Spikes Tactical Lower & Upper with Troy hand guard (currently with a scope, but going with a Lucid HD7 Red-dot, and currently saving for a suppressor)
    3) _______________________________

(also have a few nice O/Us and a Sig P229 Elite.

Of course I'd love to have a much larger arsenal than 3 ARs (one day), but I'm only 27 now and can't afford but maybe one more in the next 2-3 months. I am leaning towards a nice middle ground of my set and towards a 5.56 mid-length. Something that can reach out and touch a decent range that doesn't require me to shoot 308 as much ($!) and on the higher end, while not breaking the bank. Also, something that can fit the eventual 7.62 suppressor I'm going to have (so it can work on all three). My top 3: a) DD m4V11 (approx. $1,600); b) SCAR 5.56 ($2,300??); or c) a custom build piecing together everything.

If DD is the way to go, what are the key differences why(or why not) the DDM4v11 is the best option.
If SCAR is the way to go, why is it preferable vs the DD/build options given its premium price
If I can get a comparable quality product from a build, whats the best way to do this?

    Thanks in advance!

    I'd go BCM.

Personally, I would also get a BCM lower upper separately over the other two options. Will accomplish the same goal and save a significant amount of scratch. Pretty much enough to buy a can.

Get a complete BCM, and for cheaper than either of the other two options you mentioned.

    Best arsenal for ... what?

If you are truly going for an arsenal that you may need to utilize for its ultimate purpose, many would argue that 3 identical weapons with intensive training for every household member is ideal.

If you just want to own 3 ARs then -- given what you already own -- I would go for a 14.5" or 16" mid-length with a 1x red dot/holo sight and a good white light. The usual suspects ... DD, Colt, BCM, LMT, etc.

27 with two AR's already? Maybe instead save for a house? Contribute more toward 401K? Best arsenal for your retirement... just sayin

So would it be all bcm parts? A fully assembled bcm rifle and if so which one? I'm not familiar with this company.... Any additional info would be helpful. Thanks!

I do all of the above. I own a home, I'm married and my wife and I are fortunate and worked hard enough to have great jobs and 401Ks. Not to mention bitcoin is making me a killing. 'just saying'

Plus I wouldn't be acquiring another if I didn't think the next year and a half of B Hussein O could lend itself to more gun control making it harder in the future. I'd rather not take that chance.

100% BCM parts. Grab a lower from grant and then choose an upper with bcg/ch from here:

    http://www.bravocompanyusa.com/AR-15...Group-s/27.htm

I would say this one is best best combo of bargain + similar to the v11.

You have to order the upper/lower separately to avoid the tax.

Hunting, shooting, personal protection, and for fun. I am a lifetime shooter/hunter/outdoorsman and just want to have a solid foundation of ARs to last many years of multiple uses. The 308 is my primary big game rifle, the 10in is a home defense/hunting rifle, and looking to have a 5.56 for a good all around farm/hunting/range gun. Thanks for the info.
