I think it's much more likely that we'll see it in use with law enforcement up here.
Full disclosure: I'm the editor of Calibre Magazine, which is Canada's gun magazine. In the past I've done consulting work for different manufacturers and OEM suppliers, but not currently. M4C's disclosure policy doesn't seem to cover me but we do have advertisers, although I don't handle that side of things and in general I do not know who is paying us at any given time.

And yet more pics, including a 20" DMR version:

The rest of the pics are just operator posing shots so I'll spare you but they're here if you want them:

I wonder why they went with shorter gas system on this?

    Might just be a mock-up.

Didn't think of that, that's possible.

Probably because of the cutout in the fore end for punching out the gas tube pin dictates the length of the gas system.

    These look pretty slick.
    I am interested to know:
    - What's the barrel profile on these?
    - What gas system length is used for each barrel length?
    - If that gas block is adjustable.

Same length gas system for all barrel lengths is my guess.

Pretty possible. Colt Canada tends to use proprietary gas system components so it wouldn't surprise me at all if they standardize on one length.

Barrel profiles are also generally proprietary but they've been mid-weights in the past to minimize POI changes.

Wow, that looks like a gun that would sell like crazy here. Good thing Colt has no plans to sell it here. Brilliant.
