I believe it's a Centurion CMR M-Lok on the new mid-length Colt if I'm not mistaken...

Does the 15.7" barrel variant of the MMR use a midlength gas system or does it have the same gas system length as the C8? Do the 11" and 15.7" barrel MMRs have enlarged carbine chambers like the C8 series?

Also, I'm just wondering why Colt Canada went with a monolithic upper instead of a removable free floating handguard? Was it because they were already manufacturing the C8 IUR or did their customers/end users prefer a monolithic upper receiver?

Probably because they're a big enough company that they're not afraid of being sued by LMT for patent infringement:

I wonder if this will push the standardization of M-Lok for issued rifles/carbines.

I know using M-Lok slot is free, but T-nuts have to be bought from Magpul... I wonder how the military will handle that part.

Have you noticed the metal inserts they put in the upper receiver for the charging handle latch. Details like this scream quality.
That screams trying to fix something that isn't broken to me! Look at whats holding the insert in. Swaged/Staked over.

Perhaps you're right about it being a solution to a nonexistent problem, but it's to me it's the attention to detail that impresses me. Pretty sure it's pressed in through a dovetail and then staked. It's not going anywhere.
