Looks beautiful, and is certainly something that should be displayed (and shot!) proudly.
So let's see...assuming I could find one in similar condition, what could one expect to pay for such a piece?

Back in 1992, I came across an all original Colt SP1 /CAR-15 in semi, same exact condition as the one posted with the same scope. It was mint, the dealer had the box and everything and did not know a thing about the AR or its hisory, either with the previous owner or the Colt history behind it. It was a hunting type gun shop i.e mostly bolt actions, shotguns no black type rifles. Now hold on...the selling price was $700.00 and like an a&& I passed ...My shooting buddy at the time said the gun was old, used and did not lookl like the M-16A2 he used in the USMC. Looks like alot of headaches he said to me. Oh well...the moral is if you find something, and have the money to buy it, do it. These opportunities dry up quick. If nothing else, put a $50 holder on the item and think about it overnight or ask a few shooting buddies their opinion, this guy thought Oralites(mags) were great and his Norinco M1A type with the busted bolt could easily be repaired...![]()
Nice!
I have been thinking of doing a PO Mans version.
