Starting a new build, CMR or C4...

Usually I never ask, I get an idea but I'm stuck.

    Building another 12.5"

Standard with 10" CMR rail, I'll chop the FSB down

Or another Kino, 9" C4 rail.

Most of you remember my 11.5" with the Troy alpha. I want this one to bridge that gap, but I like the C4 too.

What would you do. Anyone run the CMR? Is it tits?

Hey man miss your pics in the pic thread, but I guess you just have to ask yourself if you need the quad rail and FSB of the C4 or would you rather the slimmer CMR. I have a CMR on a .308 build I recently built, so I haven't used it much but I do like it, it's slim and light weight. I would probably go CMR if your not gonna hang a bunch of crap off the rail. I believe arisaka defense also makes direct attachments for the CMR.

Thanks buddy! Well get ready I'll have more pics up before you know it.

Ya I want the CMR but funds are telling me to go Kino. I hear the gas block doesn't fit under the CMR you have to buy theirs? Which doesn't make much sense

I believe there are others that fit, but the centurion is one of the few that's low pro enough.

Awesome can't wait for the great pics, and I did use a BCM low pro gas block on mine and it is a very close fit, but i really enjoy my 12" C4 also, cant go wrong with either.

I'm a fan of the CMR. Pics are floating around of an M-Lok CMR, so you might want to wait for that.

I have a friend that I built a 12.5" Noveske with an 11" CMR and he loves it. It was well balanced.

You can fit a FSP if you cut it down enough. I have done it with no problems.

I personally like the Kino with a C4 rail. That may be my next build. I like full Picatinny Rails on all my rifles. That is just me.
In no way do I make any money from anyone related to the firearms industry.

That's what I ran before so I wanted somethin. Little different. I like the full rail but also like the light weight of the Troy Alpha nd it's diameter. I literally have both in my cart right now, I need to make up my mind and order one.

I have the 9 inch CMR on my 10.5 gun and enjoy it very much. At the same time I have been kicking the idea of a kino around with the C4 middy cutout rail.

I would chop the FSB down for sure. I just can't see it NOT being able to work
