One side of me agrees with you, the other side says if you can't time a barrel nut, you shouldn't be assembling ARs. I know what you mean though.

I personally love the URX 4 arrangement. One of the easiest rails to install, and in my opinion easier than the BCM too. Yes the rail and barrel nut are one.

Call me crazy, but I've tried multiple rails (some of which include KMR, KMR Alpha, SLR various types) - I still love my 3-4yr old Noveske NSRs. I got bored and wanted to replace them. They're still here. 1.48" OD cannot be beat. Crazy solid mount. With the Vertex Ops aluminum 1.3oz barrel nuts, they're also still lighter than most of these newer rails...

Still awaiting proof that one is better than the other in anything other than plastic. The KMR design is superior to any lightweight rail on the market at this time in my opinion.

    It's 2016 and rails still don't have anti-rotational features.

It's a very standard format free float rail at a good price point. I'd trust the competence of the guys at SKD to ensure good quality - they're good people. Overall I'm disappointed there is a rear QD point but no forward QD point.

ALG's EMR rails do. And they aren't new.

Most of those "anti-rotation" tabs simply reduce the amount of rotation when an improperly designed or installed handguard gets loose.

Sure the barrel nut can sometimes be a bit difficult to time with this style handguard, but once the screws are installed with a drop of locktite they are about as bomb proof as possible.
