Markm; I see you are a senior member here and have read a few of your posts. I respect your words. On the other hand, I had nothing to loose as the trigger as it was while relatively crisp was heavy. I have had experience working with triggers and understand not to change angles. I also try to get information on what to do and what not to do before trying anything. I do not that on case hardened material there is a relatively thin layer to work with and that is why I polished the surface only. The end result was a more clean break, but no change in pull weight.
So I tried and got a small improvement. To take any more of the trigger would be a mistake, I certain. I put a hundred rounds through the rifle this weekend and have decided the pull is too much and a Gisselle is on its way. Unfortunately we wont find out about its longevity.
Some of us just have to try. I'm relatively handy [not handsome] and it did work to a limited extant.
Thanks for your advice, and best wises.

I recommend picking up an ALG ACT trigger. LINK This trigger comes with one hammer spring and two weights of trigger springs. The quality is very good and IMO it's a way safer option. I haven't tried the BCM or Sionics triggers yet but they may also be GTG. BTW, I've seen them for about $60 so if you search around you should be able to find one too. $59.95 at Joe Bob

Thanks for the trigger recommendations. I went ahead with Geissele as they are so darn good.
    Best wishes.

eperk: I went with the sd3g. Not very fond of two stage triggers. I'm using the heavier spring. Have not tried it yet other than a few dry fires. Will take a little getting used to as it does have some take up then breaks very crisp and clean. The takeup is what I will struggle with until I get used to it. I'm used to bolt guns with not take up and very clean break.
It does feel like a very fine trigger and am looking forward to using it.

    SD3G?

So the lightest trigger they produce... You'll have to report back after some range time.

It is their 4.5 # unit, they include a spring to bring it down to 3.5. I'm staying with the 4.5... Will be happy to let you know good/bad.
    Best wishes.
