FN, Colt, or Bushmaster? Advice please?

    Greetings -

I'm purchasing an AR this week and need to decide between the following three weapons:

    Bushmaster XM15 (flat top) - $680
    FNH FN15 1776 (flat top) - $880
    Colt LE6920MPS-B (Magpul furniture) - $980

    So.....

Is FN $200 better than a Bushmaster?
Is Colt $300 better than an XM15?
Is Colt $100 better than FN?

    If so/not, why?

This will be the one and only AR I'll ever own and don't plan on ever purchasing another one. This weapon will be purely a SHTF go-to. I have experience with Colt M4s, nothing else by way of carbines. Any input is appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Brian

I know that Colt is GTG and I doubt that FN is making bad rifles.

    What's your price range ?

As more members here weigh in, you will find the overwhelming consensus is to buy the Colt. Use the search function and do some reading on these forums and you will see why.

    Colt. All day.

If FN is making the commercial rifles from the same parts as their military guns then the FN is fine too. I don't know enough about their commercial line though.

Colt or FN, in that order. Magpul 6920 is an excellent rifle. Skip the Bushmaster.

Go to gandrtactical.com, and look through their Colt rifles.
The 6720 is the ideal basic rifle to buy, and a great price.

Thanks. I've been reading on this forum and on AR15 forums. Your position has been the consensus along with....

Now, eliminating the Bushmaster is a surprise, as many defend them staunchly. I can only assume that it can be eliminated from consideration based on the quality of the other two choices?

    Good stuff, thank you all.
