My first AR was an BM XM-15 E2S, never again. Get a Colt or BCM. I'm sure FN make a fine rifle but I'd rather buy from an AR from an American company.

    Colt 6720 $799 . . .

Take the money you save and buy ammo and mags. You can dress her up later.

Go with the Colt and sleep assured that you made the best choice of the three.

The 6720 is the ideal basic rifle to buy, and a great price.

They haven't been in stock for quite awhile.

Huh, I thought all the FN barrels were CFH.

Oh well, you learn something every day.

Well looks like people have been taking our advice then lol. You could also just get a basic BCM upper and run it with standard M4 furniture as a cost effective fighting rifle.

In case you haven't noticed OP, the consensus seems to be buy the Colt and run with it.

Plus if you find yourself in the unfortunate position of needing to get your money back out of it, the Colt will hold and appreciate in value better.

Yep. It's crystal clear. I'm ordering the Colt. Thanks to everyone who opined.

I thought you mentioned the above choices were at a local shop, if you have to order them you maybe be able to save a couple bucks by buying a BCM lower online, just do the transaction thru your FFL and pick up an upper from BCM.

While only mentioned a couple of times, if you can't get the Colt (sold out), I would recommend looking at BCM.
