    I'm happy with mine.
Would I replace it with something a bit better? In time perhaps, but it's two years old and just keeps rocking along.
The only issue I have is low light work, the fire dot is great, everything else is kind of lost.

I see that you decided to go with a T2, but if you ever consider one of these again I highly recommend it. I've had this model on a rifle now for about a year and half and I love it.

I'm kinda eyeballing one of these too for an SPR build.

Almost in the same exact boat as OP. I've got Aimpoints and Eotechs. a few Leupold Mark 4's and Nightforce NXS's.

Not sure I want to drop another $1,300 + on an NXS so am looking at the Leupold Mark AR's with firedots and comparing to Nikon P-223 and maybe the Vortex Spitfire.

Did a search all over the place. Doesn't seem to be a consensus on which is better but it seems Leupold is the safer bet warranty wise.

There is an interesting video from the manufacturer on Leupold durability - scope (not sure if it's a Mark AR) in ice block for a week.

Never left mine in a block of ice, but I can say the rifle has been dropped and landed scope first on the concrete. Checked zero afterwards and it was still on point.

I'm kind of going about the same thing and I'm looking at the Mark 4 line. I'm seriously considering either the 1.5-5x20 MRT or the Mark 4 2.5-8x36 and I'm seriously considering the latter.

It's pretty much a VX1 with 1/10 mil target turrets and a mil reticle. Definitely a cut above Chinese glass, but on the lower end for Leupold. It is not in the same league glass-wise as the Trijicon Accupoint. My 3-9x40 Mark AR leaves a bit to be desired when hunting at sundown. The reticle on the 1.5-4x Firedot is not great for hold-offs or milling, as the markings are so far apart. The Firedot illumination is excellent though. It is also an extremely light weight scope. If you're going to use it for hunting, I would try to spring for the VX-R Patrol, for its better low light performance. That or look into a Steiner 1-4x from Europtic -- fantastic glass for the money. The Trijicon Accupower 1-4x and Burris XTRII 1-5x are other contenders for low power variables with good glass.

I'll help you with the link http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produc...iflescope.html NOT Patrol/SPR. You get what you pay for. B&H is actually high for that scope.
