What did you pay for and get for $399 with shipping included? As happy as you are I doubt you bought a $550+ scope for $399. Talk is cheap. Put up a picture please.

I have two and have no complaints other than low light. Will I upgrade probably but these work well and are tougher than the Nikon P-223, which also work well for the $$

So this is what I postulate (pulled out of my Ass, from my work in the eComm world)

They probably have an algorithms that tracks your visits and based on whatever 'levers' they have setup - offers up different discounts based on your visits, frequency, time frame, day of the week, visits to competitors sites, serachs and clicks from their banner ads embedded elsewhere, etc. The price for the VX-R Patrol SPR went from $539 in cart on Sunday down to $443 today on my Mac (all activity on that machine), but when I looked on my work machine (for the first time) it was back at $539. I could be totally wrong but I'm planning on grabbing one from tonight at the $443. I have a screen cap that I'd send you via PM not wanting to start anything with posting it on the forum.

Many ecomm sites do the "sitting in cart price drop".

Not trying to piss anybody off. I probably used the wrong words. If you got the Patrol SPR for $400 you got a heck of a deal! The problem I have is people quoting prices for things they haven't bought. People do a Google search for Leupold VX-R Patrol SPR and open a hit from one of the vendors mentioned above and across the top of the page it says VX-R Patrol SPR and in the price box it says $399. If you look further down where the various options are listed the basic duplex model is highlighted. Click on the SPR Patrol option and the price changes to $599! Good on you if you got the SPR for $399.

My other optics are mostly Aimpoints and I have one Trijicon Accupoint TR24G 1-4x, which I love, but looks like I can pick up one of the Mark AR's with a mount for half the price of my Accupoint, so I was wondering if it was worth considering. The reviews on Amazon are pretty positive, but I trust M4C members more 😉

I did a search and the only threads I could come up with were ones for sale in the EE.
I have the plain leupold ar 1.5-4x (without the firedot reticle) bought it few years back at cabelas when they had the bundle sale which came with the leupold mount for I think $250. Installed it on my 16" aac 300 blackout, zeroed it for 100 yards and its still dead on after 5 years

Having said that, cabelas recently had the Burris tac30 1-4x with illuminated reticle bundle sale (with p.e.r.p mount) for $215 and the plain Vortex crossfire ll 1-4x just the scope for $99.00 both shipped i got them both, they have 30mm diameter tubes and IMHO are better, brighter than the leupold. Leupold had smaller tube size 24mm i think not sure. 30mm tubes will be they way to go I think.

There's also the vortex 1-6x that I'm watching and would like to try and runs about $350 currently. Leupold's arevmade here in the u.s.a but the vortex and Burris are made in southeast asia.

Old model with green dot and 1" tube. Leupold 113769 is the new model with red dot and 30mm tube. I don't care what you guys buy but there is a lot of apples to orange comparison going on. You have to look past the price. The model number tells all.
