Help me find the scope I want.

I'm putting together a BCM rifle with a 20 inch barrel and a lower with an A2 stock and now I'm looking for a scope.
Looking for an illuminated reticle, something at least 8 power ( More is better for me to a degree) on the high end and 2-3 power on the low end.
I'm looking to shoot out to 400-500 meters.
I'm pretty happy with the Leupold scopes I have used and I'm looking at the Mark 4 series.
Can I do better as in quality and warranty for under $1200?

The Vortex viper pst 2.5-10x32 would fit what you're looking for. Illuminated reticle. Can't beat the warranty. Msrp of $1000 so you could definitely do better than that price.

Thanks that was fast, I'm taking a look at it now.
    What mounts did you use?

You will almost certainly need a cantilever mount. Bobro or Larue.

Check out the Burris Veracity FFP scopes.

    http://www.burrisoptics.com/scopes/v...cope-2-10x42mm

You can get the one linked above for ~$600 otd and it also has a forever warranty.

I just got the one linked above for Christmas for my new SPR-ish build and really like it, though, DISCLAIMER, I have not gotten to the range with it yet.

ETA: If you don't want/need QD, Take a look at Aero Precision's Ultralight scope mounts as well. They're like ~3 oz and get good reviews. The SPR one will have the 2" off set you'll want.

Dont want to derail your thread. The vortex is great stuff. I have a Leupold Mk 4, 4.5-14x50 wit illuminated mildot reticle for sale if its something youre interested in. PM me for details if you are interested.
