Another vote for the Vortex PST scopes! Everyone who looks through mine walks away impressed ... and most buy one. Great deal at < $700 too! I've 'tested' it on the USAF optical test target against my Unertl and Kowa 20X spotting scopes and the clarity is stunning.

At my club (600Y range) unless one buys a NF, Steiner or Zeiss at 2-3X+ the price ... they're all buying the Vortex PST scopes.

All of you Vortex Viper guys.
I got a look at a lower end on the Vortex line today, just to get a feel for it. It seems fine, but this one was on the low end of the Viper line.

I'm seriously considering the Vortex Viper 2.5-10 X 32 and I have another question. Which reticle did you go with, the MRAD or MOA?
Looking at both on line now.

My Vortex scopes are all MOA. I've always used MOA and that's what I'm familiar with so it was an easy choice for me. Can't really go wrong either way.

Doesn't really matter as long as the turret clicks match the reticle. Keep it all MOA (both reticle and turret markings) or all MRAD. Doing math conversions between MOA to MRAD or vice versa is a pain and no longer necessary. Once you have a matching scope you really start thinking about dumping all your other scopes that don't (and all the $$$ you have tied up in them). I wish more manufacturers would get on this bandwagon.

Looking at viper PST specs (SWFA 2015 catalog) list out as a illuminated MRAD reticle with .1mrad turrets, first focal plane and side focus, nice specs all around. Just don't expect to get a lot of light at dusk/dawn with a 32mm obj. I had a 4.5 x 14 Viper early model and was very impressed with glass quality in that price range and they have a great lifetime warranty.

With that said, all the scopes I have bought the last 3 years have all been SWFA SS models.

Thanks to everyone who made this as a recommendation.
I picked one up on E.E. and got it mounted and zeroed, it has quickly become my favorite scope on an AR.
I would recommend it to everyone in the same place I was when I posted this.
    Thanks Again.
