How does it compare to the Raptor? Is it better?
How is the G's gas busting qualities? Compared to a CH with the RTV method (that I currently use thanks USMC03) ?

AXTS has released the "Freedom Bone" version of the Raptor to deal with gas to face issues. Anyone try it yet?
It'll be a while before I hit the range so I won't be able to comment on how it handles gas. With the Raptor, my eyepro, nose, and lips were dirty at the end of a range day shooting suppressed.
I'm a right handed shooter and the buttstock is one position away from fully collapsed.
I did the RTV trick to the Raptor and it did help with gas. (10.3 bbl SpecwarK556)
The freedom bone looks intriguing, but I hate the name
Hey guys, check out mah new freedom bone![]()
I'm just generally very surprised at how much premium charging handles cost. About $10-12 for a standard one, but BCM/VLTOR runs $50-75, Raptor about the same, Aero (which I think is more of a value brand) is also right up there for $70-80. I can't say that Geissele is CH is too overpriced at $90-100, I just think the whole market for charing handles is too expensive. If you think of it you can get a good bolt carrier with the proper mil-spec bolt for about $100.
Bolt as a part alone would be around $40-70. You can't compare a precision machined part such as bolt or bolt carrier with a piece of cheap stamped aluminum.
Edit: I just saw that a KAC ambi charging handle is listed at $150 (http://shop.knightarmco.com/ProductD...ductID=KM31177). All others listed above look like a bargain now.

Everyone seems wait to get them when they're on sale/discounted, thus negating the full retail price point. Primary Arms' Raptor sales being the most well known. If these products generally only move due to discounted sales, that right there is a pretty good indicator of the retail price being 'too high' to begin with.
