My BCM blem upper also is a BCM4 upper.

The blemished upper that I purchased came from the Brass Aluminum forge (square mark) where as all of my retail uppers and BCM factory built carbines have come from Anchor Harvey (spilt A mark). I don't know who does the machining for the upper, whether it is done on house by BCM or at the forge, but I prefer the Anchor Harvey uppers. They seem to fit tighter.

I have a square forged marked BCM upper that came with my complete gun.

I have two non-blem uppers, one square, one A.

BCM machines their uppers and lowers. the BCM4 means they are the ones who machined it. The white BCM logo means that it is a factory assembled upper.

my 2 BCM uppers are Anchor Harvey, and my friend's is Brass Aluminum.

If you hate the thread, my apologies. I was looking for up to date information and there was none on this site. So since there was none, I had no choice but to seek it. This is the only way I know how to get information from a forum (by requesting it), or I sit around and wait for someone to volunteer it. I'm not a fan of the wait and volunteer approach to anything in life.

Well so you know. Depending on the age of.the blemished uppers, it may or may not be true. It's entirely possible those uppers may be left over from from when BCM made change over.

Those guys were referring to the complete BCM blem upper receiver groups that were on sale awhile back. They misunderstood your thread title and we're just disappointed that they weren't back on sale.
I'm sure they weren't seriously hating on your thread other than it being slightly misleading.

true. also, I mistyped, while they machine their uppers, I don't know if they do their own lowers.

I received it today. It's pristine. It looks like the only mark is the removal of the Bravo logo and the threads have a couple of dots on them. I couldn't ask for better and was expecting worse.
