    LWRC IC SPR Question

Was thinking about getting an LWRC rifle but I would like to change out the hand guard to an longer after market one that I would like. Is it possible or would I have to buy a whole new upper receiver to do that? Thanks!

All LWRC IC's use a proprietary upper. There really aren't any options.

    LWRC IC SPR Question

I'm also assuming that LWRC's new DI gun, the handguard on that one cannot be changed out either?
If I cannot switch out the handguard I may just buy an LWRC complete lower and build myself an upper.

That would be the same case with the DI:

If what you're after is their full ambi controls, buying the lower would be the way to go. I plan to do that myself, though I already have an older unfluted IC.

Either way, even if their handguards were interchangeable, considering how much their rifles/uppers go for, building your own or modifying another factory upper would be more cost effective.

I was at a local gun store yesterday and they had the new LWRC DI gun for around $1550.00!

The ambi controls are what I want. I was just thinking that if it was possible to stick with LWRC upper and lower so that way the fit would be good.

If it's just full ambi you want, why not go for an ADM UIC lower? Not exactly the same as being fully mirrored, but it's arguably a better set-up; I'd also suggest an AX556, but those are no longer sold, unless you wanna pony up for a full AXTS MI-T556. Falkor Defense makes a more-or-less fully mirrored receiver set, but they're an unknown quantity.

Or, just buy the LWRC IC, and build a new upper. Keep the old upper, or sell it, or whatever.

Plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose.

    LWRC IC SPR Question

Yeah, I was looking at LWRC, ADM, Seekins, Falkor, CMT, Rainier Arms, POF Gen 4, and Mega Arms.

I talked to ADM's C/S and they said that trigger pins wouldn't work on their lowers because there's not enough space to work their ambi bolt catch/ release. And even though they're probably not needed, I like trigger pins just for the esthetic look.

I am considering building a new AR, and I too am looking for an ambi lower. LWRC and POF are at the top of my list.
