TROLL- I don't think that word means what you think it means. D train may not understand the culture or the language of this site, nor does he know what he doesn't know, so he got off on the wrong foot. But that does not mean he came here to troll the site.

This site was started so that those who don't know could learn from those who do. Instead of trolling this thread, teach. Guide. Be helpful. Stop wasting time and band width with unfounded accusations.

D train, I don't know much about the specifics of the RECCE configuration, but the heart of the AR is the barrel assembly and bolt. Barrel, bolt and ammo determines reliability and precision. Next choose a quality optic and mount. While a crisp trigger is nice, it's most important that the trigger be smooth and consistent from shot to shot. Get these things right and the rest will follow

No, a recce is a specific setup, basically an accurized m4 with 16" barrel and generally a low power scope. Bcm makes recce uppers but so do a lot of companies, they just don't use the term. The point of the rifle is to be good at close quarters and still able to reach out.

There may be more to a "true" recce, but I'm not up on it.

That hasn't stopped you before and I don't think anyone will blame you.

holy mother! What a thread. I understand asking noobish questions but damn, this is pure hilarity. This guy claims to have been in combat and then wants to build a 10-15k range toy. Either he was an ociffer (being sarcastic here fellas) or just some mall ninja wannabe that has no true appreciation for people's time, experience, or willingness to help. Whichever it is, he was given sound advice by a few people here and he's been argumentative because someone called him on being a poser. Seems to me the guy is being contrary just to be contrary. I'd lock the thread and follow the guys next 100 posts just to see how things shake out, but that's just the opinion of a m4c noob!

Speaking of $10-15k rifles this video was released with perfect timing.

Wow. I thought there were actual adults on this site. You guys honestly call yourselves professionals. Do you speak to people like this in your day to day life or do you just try to bully people from behind a keyboard on the Internet? Where do you come off making accusations about whether or not someone did or did not serve their country. I hope you do that face to face with the right guy. If this thread is an example of M4C's willingness to help I ask the moderators PLEASE delete my account so I can pretend like I was never associated with such a group of assholes. Thanks

I'm closing this thread because it is impossible for some of you to not act like adults. Sad really..
