Yea, once you go high cut, there's no going back comfort wise. Same with a Glock.

My CRG came with a high cut from the factory. Kinda lame I'll have to send the SA to SACS for that. But back to the OP, I'm just assuming that this model is one that they'll be announcing in the next few days. Hopefully it'll be tomorrow and we'll get the details. I don't care about all of the lame XDs they've been going on about.

A search of the SKU PE9209LP brings up the link below with some good pictures.

The gun is also listed on Lipsey's website...

This is officially on my list this year. I've been wanting a 9mm 1911 for some time. Options have been Wilson combat, sti marauder, Springfield warran tactical version, or a base colt. This special run from lipseys has all the Options I want with a street price at 1380. Only change I would make is a new thumb safety, which for me is more about astectics than anything.

I got excited for this when I saw it on youtube. The price is higher than I expected... It seems nice but it is priced like the Dan Wesson pm9 and I'd get that over this any day of the week. Actually I think Dan Wesson may end up releasing their specialist in 9mm in which case that would totally trump this and have the features some might want such as light rail plus good things like a magwell.

I'm still not sure if this is worth it over the RO Operator.

Tool steel ignition parts, upgraded rear sight as opposed to an in house Novak copy, front strap checkering, and armory coat compared to parkerizing. Add those features up to the cost of the RO operator and it should be close. If you want a base gun the RO operator is certainly the better choice, the lipseys special is more turn key.
