    Colt 727 Retro Build

I have a Colt marked A2 fixed carry handle upper, and a Colt M4 barrel that has the F marked FSB. Should I file the front post down?

I would not be too concerned over it. I have used F marked FSBs with A1 uppers and had no issues with accuracy or adjustments. My 727 clone has a non-F marked FSB, so there was no issue there. You should have enough adjustment if it is needed with the A2 upper and F marked FSB. If not, then you can file the FSP a little bit.

No need to file the FSP 4 or so clicks down will get you zeroed...

I have built a few rifles with F marked FSB on fixed carry handle uppers and it has never been a issue...

I had to go more than 4 clicks to get my XM177 clone zeroed (12 to be precise) but didn't have to bottom it out or file the post.
