I don't know why they would. Geissele themselves have said that the Mk1 (for platforms other than the HK416) wouldn't have it.

Another member here posted a picture here showing them integrated into his new rail a couple of pages back in this thread. There is also a pic in a thread on TOS in the Geissele industry forum of a MK1 rail with a QD port. This is why I ask. Geissele has recently decided to incorporate them on their rails.

Just got my upper assembled, and my new MKII comes with built in QD sockets on each side of the rail near the receiver. In the picture below you can see it (its the last hole closest to the receiver). Tested it this morning with a QD sling swivel I had laying around and it works perfectly.
Pretty pumped to find that out after I received it!

ROG got more of the 10" Mk1s in... and they're gone before I could snag one.
