Does anyone know the height dimension (from top to bottom rail) on the MK4 rails? Also, are they using 7075-T6 aluminum for the rails or a 60 series aluminum alloy. I prefer using the thumb over the top rail type of grip on a RD sighted carbine, so the rail height is just about as important for me and my hand size as a rails width.

It looks 10X as rich as magpul. But plastic to metal. It would look good together though. I don't think shit needs to be too matchy anyway.

Mk1 is a fine piece.

I posted these awhile back of a MK2 in sand with some magpul FDE mixed in....

Here is my pal Buddyhoohaw's awesome FDE Colt with a sand SMR MK2...

As Pappabear noted, it's hard to compare ano to plastic. I'll leave the 50 shades of FDE for you ladies to debate...as I'm a big fan of black rifles

Thanks, Trident. I hate setting up and tearing down my gear for just one shot but I figured there was a fair amount of interest for the picture.

I really like the sterile backgrounds, and neat watermarking.

That particular MK1 even has the newer black small nylon tipped set screws...vs. the older silver ones. Love this very small change, and overall GA's attention to perfecting the details.

I can't see much more to improve now on the MK1....very close to being finalized I imagine.

I didn't notice that the anti-rotation screws were changed until I picked up the MK4; I prefer the newer screws.

I'll agree that there isn't much more that can be improved on the MK1 but then again, Bill continues to surprise me.
