Green or Red dot Trijicon Accupower

Looking at the 1x4 Trijicon AccuPower with the BDC Segmented Circle/Crosshair.

Trying to decide between red and green illumination.

I've owned H1 and T1 micros, trying to decide if I should stay red or go green.

Anyone have experience with both? Pros? Cons?

I'm also interested in someone's opinion on this that's looked through both

No clue if it is true but I read that some green light spectrum is easier to see than red. I have not used said scope, but I had a TA-33 with green horseshoe and it was my favorite ACOG other than the TA-11. I found it obscenely bright.

The Vortex cheapo Comp-M copy that switches from red to green is actually pretty neat. Very very bright dot in green. I like green, but I admit it takes some getting used to with my brain programmed for red. If those Vortexes weren't made in China I would be all over them.

I have been looking at this scope myself, I'm leaning more towards the red as its what I'm used to with red dots.

I just sold a green one, it was nice. Ive had red and green Accupoints, and ACOGS as well.
I prefer red, but its purely personal, there is no best, except what's best to you.

I had a green reticle and sold it after using it for a while. Green, while sounding good on paper as being the easiest color to see, doesnt translate well in the real world since theres so much damn green in nature anyway. I went with red because contrast draws your focus much better.

Get the red. It contrasts very well and you don't really need it during the day time. I tried a green ACOG once and didn't like it since I was constantly hunting for the Chevron. That doesn't happen with my red ACOGs.

I also have a red segmented circle and I have no problem shooting fast or accurate with it. It is one of my favorite scopes. If they had the same reticle in a 1-6, it would sell like hot cakes and I would have one of the first ones.

I handled a green one at the store. I found a pretty good deal on a red one and went for it since I'm used to red dots. The contrast issue that Vicious CB mentions is pretty valid IMO but I guess its personal preference.
I'm happy with the red one

When I see green dots and red dots in images like in this thread, I always see green the quickest. Unless it's an aimpoint, I find the red gets lost amongst the brown colors. Maybe it's just me..

Same for me. My eyes see green much better than red
