Question Can I? If so where?

So I bought an upper with standard handguards.

Don't like them. I would prefer a quad rail or at least a magpul forearm.

However the muzzle end is a triangle and the other is round.

The quad rail would have to extend over the round spring loaded ring that hold the handguards on to be flush with the upper receiver flat top rail.

Do the make such a thing, and if so, where would I find one that would be flush.

Fixed front sight handguards is 8 1/8 long (lips that fit in ends makes it 8 5/8)

    Thanks for your advice.

Standard midlength setup. Depending on how much modification you are willing to do to the gun, there are endless options. The best option with the least permanent mods is the centurion c4 rail. Gives you a continuous top rail.

If you want a good rail, you will end up taking everything off. A good rail will come with its own barrel nut.

If you're going to do it, just spend the money and free float. You have a lot more options and in the end, you should have a more accurate rifle. And if I were you, I'd consider NOT going with a quad rail. The new trend is towards lighter thinner / skinnier rail systems that utilize Mlok or Keymod slots - to which you can attach rail sections or direct connect the accessories of your choosing. There are tons of threads here on the forum so if you take a few minutes to use the search feature, you'll see what I'm talking about.

    Good luck!!

Just don't try it with the SL MLOK handguard, they are won't work with the triangle end cap.

If you want free float with as little modification as possible, you could get a VLTOR CASV handgaurd

My vote goes to c4 mid length cutout rail. But it will still take some work to get on.

Here is another option, Troy Delta. This picture is a carbine gas but I have the mid-length version.

This. I have one and its great. It's not the lightest but it's no porky quad rail either. Smooth and natural feeling in the hand.
