    I cannot believe people are buying polymer lowers like this when forged lowers are so cheap.

    In that case, I think we're on the same page.
    If a competent company using modern design and manufacturing processes created a rifle from the ground up to have a polymer frame, I see no reason why it wouldn't function reliably. The problem we've all seen over and over is when someone takes a specific design based on material A, and tries to reproduce it exactly with material B, without taking into account the different properties of said materials.
    That's where we get the receiver extension ending up in your lap.

    I really have never understand the point of a polymer lower (especially with the structural concerns) when you can get aluminum ones for so cheap now. are you really benefiting that much?
