    Geissele SSA purchased

I purchased a SSA trigger today for my AR15. After reading all the reviews and vids it seems like a good add-on for the rifle. I currently have a Spikes Tactical that came in the LRPK. The Spike is not a bad trigger.

Having said all this, is there any suggestions or tricks I should know about before starting the install? I have watched the video of the install done by Geissele. It looks fairly straightforward but thought I would ask.

    Thanks,

    James

You don't need to force the pins through the receiver, hammer and trigger holes. If you feel the need to force them, something is mis-aligned. Spring pressure on the trigger and hammer can cause this. Stop, and move the pieces slightly to achieve better alignment. Correctly aligned parts should allow you to insert the pins with finger pressure.

Make sure the selector is on "fire" during install, especially when installing the hammer.

KNS hammer cage makes all trigger installations/removals easy. Well worth it IMHO.

It's easy. Takes two minutes. You'll spend more time reading the instructions.

I don't even use slave pins anymore.

There is an included diagram with the trigger that clearly show the lube points. If you picked it up used and do not have paper work you can download it from the Geissele web site.
