Trijicon 1-4x24 AccuPower vs. Night force 1-4x24 compact?

I am interested in another 1-4 scope.

I have a Nightforce 1-4x24. It is amazing, aside from price (1500$+) no complaints.

I recently purchased a Leupold VX6 1-6. Nice and light weight, good glass. Came with a noticeably canted reticle, in excusable for a 1100$ optic. So while I was considering a Leupold 1-4 ~500$, I will now not purchase another Leupold product.

Today I came across the Trijicon offering. The AccuPower 1-4x24 is available for around 750$, half that of a Nightforce. It has the specs I am looking for. I have two ACOGs that I am happy with.

Do you have experience with the AccuPower? Do you think I would be happy with it based on my previous experiences?

I had one. You should be able to find one for ~$675 new, sometimes less. Good all around, with my main complaint being that it's not daylight bright. But if you're used to the NF, that should be a non issue. The reticle is plenty bold to pic up w/out illumination on most backgrounds.

Another one to checkout is the Steiner 1-4 on sale for Eurooptic for $699.

Lanbo's has the Accupower for $643. You just have to add it to your cart to see the price.

I don't have any experience with it, but it's one I'm looking at picking up as well. The few reviews I could find seemed to be favorable.

Same expierance as above. I have 3 NF1-4's, all with the FC2 reticle. I had a NF 1-4 3G, prefer the FC2 hands down.
I had the Accupower cegmented circle sold it to fund another Elcan.
I liked the Accupower over the FC3g. I've got 2 of the Steiners, very nice.
If I get another 1-4 I'd grab the Accupower cegmented circle in red.

Take a look at the Steiner military 1-4x24 on clearance at Euro Optic. It is on the heavy side (21 oz), but the glass is outstanding, it is a true 1x once you set your diopter, and the illumination is truly Aimpoint bright in full daylight blazing sun. It has off positions between illumination settings, a simple ballistic reticle, and is bullet proof. Steiner discontinued the 1-4 once they released the 1-5. You are getting an $1800 optic for $699.

Reminds me of my wife's twisted logic when buying clothes on sale. I can hear her now... " I bought a $250 pair of pants for $50" ... My response is always the same... "No. You bought a $50 pair of pants for $50 bucks"

Ive got an accupower 1-4 mil-sq green reticle. While I like it alot, I am needing more magnification so a 1-6 is what I'm in the market for. If you are interested in my accupower pm me.

I have both - Accupower green segmented and NXS 1-4 FC3G, but haven't done much shooting with Accupower except to zero it.
    A few things:
I feel that Accupower has a much better field of view than NF. I feel like "looking throught a straw" when using NXS.
NF is definitely NOT daylight bright. Haven't tried Accupower outside during the day. However, both reticles (with Accupower being a winner due to thick/bigger circle) can be used without any illumination during the day.

I have an accupower grn milsquare.

Its pretty good, the glass is probably just under that of my sr4c and it a pleasure to run. The milsquare doesn't really do much in terms of bdc but it works well for range estimation with people.

I have the Accupower 1-4x with Green MOA reticle on my SCAR 16.

I scored mine from OpticsPlanet when they were having a sale for $575, so it was a no-brainer to try.

I like it a lot, tagged 4 hogs from 25-75m (3 on the move) in 29 seconds with 6 shots (all hits) last month.
