    Blown Out Hand Blisters

So this happened tonight. 100 pull ups...

My problem is that I have a dirt bike race on Sunday. I clipped the dead skin, cleaned, hydrogen peroxided, and neosporined them.

What can I do between then and now to get my hands better?

On Sunday what's the best way to wrap my hands?

    I'm racing no matter what.

Well to late now, but next time clap your hands together every now and then will prevent blisters. Not sure of science but clapping keeps the blood flowing to skin or something like that (Google for yourself). Clapping periodically will also help when raking/shoveling/etc.. So ya next time, good luck with this time. Looks painful.

This is actually the true reason for using chalk when climbing and working out. Dry skin doesn't blister.

Can't help after the fact, but I'm a big guy and was tearing hell out of my hands doing pull-ups and someone told me to start wearing weight lifters gloves to do pullups. The fingerless kind with pads along where you are tearing. I picked up cheap Golds Gym gloves at Walmart and have not torn open again.

Also, take care of your callouses. Use a razor to keep them shaved down so that you won't blister as bad. It works.

Use chalk and if doing high reps use gloves.

Lot of people might give me flak for using gloves, but my hands aren't tore up and bleeding.

The goal of exercising is to be healthy and efficient. Tearing up your hands doesn't help reach your goals.

When you tear your skin up, put superglue on the wounds for a temporary fix. I use the stuff all the time.

Super glue or second skin will cover the open blisters. Chalk will help mitigate the formation once the skin grows back.
