I think this is homage to earlier backwards attempts that didn't quite take off.

I've seen optics installed backwards on military recruitment material, but whoa.... It actually took me a while to notice.

These brochures were actually given out at Shotshow and when they realized the ammo was backwards in mag, they pulled off the floor. Unfortunately they didn't thoroughly QC the cover
