Exactly. The Republicans were overthrown in a bloodless revolution.

And anyone who thinks mainstream media is an information dissemination service is floating away in kool-aide.

The media is an enterprise for advertising revenue, nothing more, nothing less; you don't maintain sponsors, by not kissing ass and faking blames.

So, yes, Virginia, I take everything as biased and agenda-laced.

Kev, you're absolutely right with the Casino vs. Casino situation keeping the political grifter class awake at night.

I'm not so sure they'll go quietly. I expect massive shenanigandery between now and November.

The twinkle of hope I have is that, up to this point, all the dirty tricks have blown up in their faces like Wile E. Coyote.

    Trump is the ****in' Roadrunner.

They are terrified that we aren't going to stage the same old "Globetrotters vs. the Washington Generals" basketball show.

It's no longer, "Trump might ruin the GOP" by introducing a new paradigm- the GOP is ruined and all American politics will now take place in the "Post-Trump Era."

Do we think that things aren't going to change between now and then? Even if you believe the CNN/ORC poll that shows him down by 13% in a national election I'm frankly surprised and encouraged that at this stage of the campaign, when it is just getting started, that the gap is that small. That gap might get bigger, might get smaller, but it's a cinch it's not going to stay the same. Frankly, I'm inclined to suspect that Trump will be able to manage his negative public perception (among the general voting public) better than Clinton and I expect that gap to narrow.
I agree that the race will tighten. The question is can he overcome this:

If he can, then it would be beyond impressive. However, stranger things have happened.

The only choice for VP is Rubio. He has:

    1. Political clout
    2. Many people know who he is
    3. Young and energetic
    4. Charismatic and a good speaker
    5. Has 171 electoral votes Trump can use
    6. Hispanic

He is the only choice to unify the party.

All this talk about some business or military outsider is nonsense.

Do some of you people roll a pair of dice to make your decisions?

People think a Billionaire ego-maniac is the answer to millionaire career politicians. Logic is pretty much out the window.

They apparently think Ted Cruz's father was involved with the Kennedy assassination, so why not?

Stranger things have happened just in this primary cycle. Frankly, I think Hillary's high disapproval rating is more significant than Trump's. She is such a known (and disliked) entity for such a long period of time that I think the distrust that people have for her is pretty locked in. I don't look for that needle to move much.

I agree that the chatter about Mattis or some other outsider is purely academic. Fun to talk about, but just not reality. I also agree that Trump should pick someone to unify the party, someone who is electable with women, and someone who could make a dent in some of the blue states, whomever that may be.

Yes. Repeated blunt-force trauma to the buttocks. Very encouraging. I'm not surprised that they weren't able to see it as it was happening, but now that it's over I can't wait to see if they learned anything. The convention should be very illuminating.

I like Rubio well enough, but he failed spectacularly. I mean, face-planted in his very own state. Not sure picking a loser for running mate is the best plan.
