Maybe, but I feel really shorted in the mass department, based on your profile photo.

Seriously though, my parents explained the economics of a little brother to me when I was 7, and I stopped asking. Only child, here.

I have half siblings from fathers first marriage but I grew up as only child and left at 14.

The most important thing people forget about crossfit is the top dudes and chicks are naturally gifted athletes, many played some sort of college sport. These are people that were naturally talented that happened to make working out their competitive sport. Am I saying they could be NFL players? No but I'm sure they would be better than the average joe just as an NFL dude would probably be pretty decent at a WOD. So just remember that crossfit isn't going to make you some superhuman that can DL 500 LBS and run a 12:00 2 mile.

Crossfit is hit or miss, a lot of cults out there, but there are some true strength coaches who actually put thought into programming instead of stupid shit like do 75 snatches for time. But a lot of stuff is mislabeled as crossfit, just because somebody does circuit workouts or uses kettle bells or does a clean it gets labeled as crossfit.

Agreed. The other day, we did 55 deadlifts (225#), 55 wall-balls (20#), row 55 calories, and 55 hand-stand or regular (your choice) push-ups. Had 13 minutes. It was done in that order, and I made it a little over half-way through the row.

What I like about it, is that while the deadlifts were light weight, you aren't typically used to doing so many of them. I found myself getting winded very easily doing repetitive light-weight tasks when I "conventionally lifted". This is helping me a lot, with that. Filling holes in my physique an capabilities, is what I'm using CF for. So far, it's delivering.

And drug use is common among other factors, but a different issue really.

Drug use is everywhere, it seems. Practically the whole PD was hitting the needle where I'm from, from what I understand. Everyone knew you could buy it from them off-duty at one of the local gyms. Deca, Test, and winny were the favorites. Cheap and effective quick-benefit stuff. You could ask one of the officers or firefighters at the gym and get some pretty good advice on a stack.

Yep, we have a local CF gym that is rampant with it. The women are there three times a day, all with off the chart FFMI. Like around 24-25. A major danger zone for women.

We are starting to also get statistics on long term injury ... not looking too awesome.
