First COD4, now this. Are C-more's PR people working overtime or what?

They've remained largely in the shadows with regard to being a viable option for optics then *boom* out of the blue here they come again.
Just another movie gun (jamg) -- they can hang whatever they get from product placement programs on them, the only requirement is that it looks cool -- extra points for looking different from the gun in the movie that opened the week before -- it is all about form, and nothing to do with function.

Not saying that C-More is not a good product, just that the mere use of something in a movie, says absolutely nothing as to its function or value... an interesting side note is that C-More did a limited run of 1X4 scopes for the military... way before the current 1X4 scope craze was popular.

But isn't that what technical advisers are for? Aren't there people who's sole purpose is to lend *some* degree of realism to it, someone who's job is to say:

"Hey, stupid, that doesn't look right. Put these on."

I guess the technical adviser thought a rear sight to be unimportant.

Is it me or does the new Punisher guy look a lot like Steven Segal.

Yes there are supposed to be tech advisers, but it doesn't' mean the producer or director always want to listen. I've done it once, it was interesting to say the least.

FN states that they are using C-Mores on all of their weapons, and have solid results. They also added that they weren't using the plastic ones that had issues awhile back.

I was asked to help out with a TV News story (for a station just north of you)... anyway, about the third time I said "that's not how it would really look/happen" I get pulled to the side and told basically "this is a leader for the evening news... we need something flashy yet simple to understand, all we are trying to do is keep the average viewer from switching over to Friends"

Even on FutureWeapons they dubbed in fake 'silencer' sounds when they shot the KAC SR25.
