Okay sweet do you need a lot of metal displaced?
They're shipping.
Things have been a little weird last few weeks.
We're running multiple shifts around the clock to keep production up, but our team safe.
If one guy on one shift gets sick we can send that shift home but keep the other shifts going.
I got stuck with nights lol
Thanks for your patience.

We use a center punch. Some of our guys grind them into a square to mimic the Colt staking. Some leave the punch as is.
I can usually tell who built the gun by the staking...almost like a signature.
You want to displace enough metal in 2 places to really engage that castle nut.
I dont think there's really a textbook way to do it as long as you achieve the goal of ensuring that castle nut wont inadvertently back off.
The TDP calls for a 45 degree angle on that notch in the castle nut. Drive as much material as you can in there. We usually start just a hair past center of the end plate towards the notch.

thanks man appreciate it!
I think it works a little better if you drive down first, then angle. I suck at it and have had issue where I basically cut through the end plate with the punch. My last two went better by going some then over, and making sure I was just past center like Mike said.

Sic semper tyrannis.
Any idea on time frame when your 11.5-12.5 barrels will be back in stock?
