Holy hell! I'm a little disappointed that they didn't let Zahn reintroduce him in a book but I'm glad he's there.

Also spotted a YT-2400, the Outrider maybe (Dash Rendar from Shadows of the Empire)?

And a question for the mods, could this thread and The Force Awakens thread be merged into just The Official Star Wars Thread? There is going to be a lot going on with Star Wars in the immediate future so it just kinda makes sense to me.

But yeah, I saw the Thrawn and yt-2400 too. Pretty neat. Also Ezra going dark side is awesome. Also Wedge.

Firefly has been pushing for a Stormtrooper themed plot (like the one you posted) for months.

Like Platoon or Full Metal Jacket. A line infantry unit of misfits. Not commandos. Just guys in the ass end of some bizarre planet shooting alien women and children with the 60 gun on a republic gunship and discussing how much Arcturan poontang they are going to get and how much liquor they are going to drink.

Nothing but gritty bleeding edge combat. Troopers being treated less like Space Nazis and more like a grizzled line outfit. Maybe a few Clone troops left over who are older and bitter.

A real gritty, apolitical war tale. Like you can tell who's who by the saltiness of their armor. Old dudes who fought at Kashyyyk wearing some left over woodland gear, guys with some time in country wearing dingy off white armor and FNGs looking like they bleed white out.


The Rebels are desperate and vicious. Taking help from criminals and fiends. Insurgent attacks.

Maybe just one big epic movie like We Were Soldiers but a lot darker. No real good guys. You admire the Stormtroopers because they are soldiers. You admire the rebels because they are fighting a desperate resistance.

John Milius or Oliver Stone should direct.

Ezra going dark side was obvious from the first episode.

I saw red stripes on those interceptors. 181st? Baron Soontir Fel? We know how Filoni likes to pull from the old canon.

In old EU, TIE Interceptors weren't introduced until after the Battle of Hoth.
