Yes, everything to include Star Wars has been politicalized you can thank Cultural Marxism.
I know nearly everyone working in the industry is a liberal but if I detect even the slightest bit of SJWing up a movie now I won't support it.

I didn't go see Ep VII in theatres for this reason. Once it came out on HBO I watched it but I wasn't going to see in the theatre or buy the DVD/Blue Ray like 1-6 because before it was released I was watching a 5min preview/hype type show and they said "we set out to create the most inclusive star wars movie ever" and then started spewing racist/feminist shit.

The NFL has started to suck lately with all of their "please don't sue us" rules and I've lost interest but as they politicized it more and more (sports journalists are cunts too apparently) now I am determined that I will not send a cent their way EVER.

I'm not just going to blindly keep chucking money into the pot when they politicize entertainment. It just sucks their ruining shit that I like, or used to to like.

Been reading the prequel novel to Rogue One.

Basically, the dad of the main character in Rogue One (Jinn Erso's dad, Galen Erso) so far is a scientist who is using lightsaber crystals to research cheap/unlimited/limitless power so no planet is ever lacking in power production. The mom is an adventurer/archeologist/geologist type person that really liked the Jedi, so has reservations about using their crystals for science.

The Death Star started R&D and the early stages of construction right after Ep II, fearing that Count Dooku and the Separatists might have been making one of their own, given that the plans originally came from information "stolen" from the Separatists. In actuality, Dooku got the plans and gave them to Palpatine because they were of course running both sides of the conflict. Construction continued after the end of the Clone Wars and the formation of the Empire, with the dad unknowingly solving a lot of their problems with power production and focusing.

Haven't finished the book yet, about 2/3 done.

Jyn Erso's mother also believes in the Force in a religious sense. So between her and Chirwut Imwe, we now have two canon characters (maybe three, if we count her surveyor friend) who are non-Force users but religiously believe in the Force and possess some (mild) Force sensitivity.

    I've also read the book.

I can't help but wonder - given how long it took the Republic, and then the Empire, to complete the first Death Star - if the second Death Star wasn't being constructed by the Seppies during the war and later taken over by the Empire and mothballed, then after the first Death Star was destroyed, construction resumed once the Empire's braintrust found a way to deal with the issues of the original Death Star (which is why it's functional but still under construction at the start of Return of the Jedi).

Saw something the other night to the effect that Roddenberry got the idea of Star Trek from the Horatio Hornblower series by C.S. Forester. Maybe he had something there.

I figure a show like that could gonfor at leadt 10 years or more
A show that shiny would have to go at least 10 seasons. At least.

    IKR!

Anyways, I heard Rogue One is gonna be less Dirty Dozen with blasters and more like Star Trek Voyager with messages and morals and PC.

I hope not.....I mean an AT-AT getting AT-4'd and the girl shooting someone mid run looked cool but I hear it is going to be estrogen Mary Sue for like 95% of the movie and not as action packed as trailers show.

I hope I'm wrong but I got a bad feeling about this.

They can't use Jacen and Jaina.
If you can't win a gun fight against a lightly-trained individual during broad daylight with 88 rounds of 30-06, I'm not sure you'd be able to do it with... any other firearm.

Ok, I've got an El Camino full of rampage here, so what's the plan?

Because of Ben I'm guessing? I was thinking more along the lines of Mara Jade and Talon Kardde (Sp). Possibly a new Jedi academy? I loved those books man

Yes, Ep7 basically killed off the Solo twins. Dave Filoni said at celebration that Mara Jade will probably never be canonized either.

I loved those books too. I think that when they redid everything the should have given Zahn a big bucket o money and carte blanch to lay the foundation for the new canon.
