I like where this is headed. Hoping to see it with my brother this weekend.
ETA: The OST is now available on iTunes, for those of us who like to listen to the music.

" Nil desperandum - Never Despair. That is a motto for you and me. All are not dead; and where there is a spark of patriotic fire, we will rekindle it. "

Saw it. A+. If you know what it is about, still want to see it, and then don't like it I don't know what to tell you. It was badass. Frankly, the Vader parts were worth the price of admission. Just so much goodness.

As I unwind a bit and the afterglow has run its course.
In a non-spoiler way, the ending battle paints a picture, quite vividly, of what Roy Batty spoke of.
I saw attack ships on fire at the Shoulder of Orion. I watched C Beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser Gate. In Imax 3D.
Best movie of 2016. Definitively. Best Star Wars actually. It feels, in a way, like a 70s movie made with 21st century technology if you had no concept of 21st century technology.
No politics. No mysticism.
Anyways, screw Star Trek.

Just got done watching.
Vader was epic.
Donnie Yen was the cool cat.
MUCH better than what JJ is doing. They had much more character development than JJ's poor attempt.
The only thing missing is watching a thermal imploder go.
From the very beginning you know you're in for a whole new experience. It was so different from any Star Wars movie you've ever seen, yet it fit so nicely in the Star Wars universe. The way it was executed reminded me some of the old canon spin-off tales. Lots of epic moments and quite a few nice surprises. If you were hoping for more 'War' out of Star Wars, this should satisfy your appetite. Will be seeing it again next week.
BTW, I still loved TFA and can't wait to see where that storyline is heading considering JJ is no longer at the helm, but Rogue One is a whole 'nother ballgame. Like Firefly said. Go in blind. It's one helluva ride.

I'm with Firefly.
Best Star Wars.
I did not expect that Vader scene. It reminded me of Grey Fox in MGS1.
I don't know if any of you watch Rebels, but there were arguably two easter eggs to the crew of the Ghost. After they return to Yavin and they vote down the attack, someone on the PA system in the hanger says "General Syndulla to the briefing room". This could be a reference to Hera's father, but I doubt it. The second is the appearance of either the Ghost or a ship of the same class 2 or 3 times in the space battle.
Oh, and I'm pretty sure I saw a Magpul stock for a brief moment.

Thank God. I was bracing for the usual "not as good as that movie about gay cowboys eating pudding" criticisms. AWESOME FLICK.
