Glad to see it's getting generally good reviews here. I was burned too much on the last one to see this one in the theaters and chance it (some liked the last Star Wars...) but for sure will rent it soon as it's out.

Do yourself a favor. See it in the biggest screen with the loudest speakers.

The last battle was like Vietnam, Tarawa, and Omaha Beach all wrapped into one.

The guys who made it even said they staged certain parts from actual action photos of the Vietnam War.

There was one part where dudes in the theatre were screaming "GET SOME! GET SOME!" at one part. Those who saw it know what I mean.

I mean.....you almost hate the naivete and uppitiness of everyone in ANH. You will never view ANH the same way again. It, for lack of a better term, strips it of its virginity. In a positive way.

We're going to see it next Friday, and I can't freaking wait after reading so many great initial reactions. Let's just hope I can avoid any spoilers until then.

Watch Ep4 again immediately before watching Rogue One. And see it in theaters. Tonight.

I haven't been this happy about a movie since Fury Road.

Stop being a poopy pants and go see the goddam movie. And then report back here when you get back. Move out!

    This.

I will say if I had to break down the final battle it was 70% Tarawa/20% Vietnam/10% Omaha Beach.

I will never be able to watch ANH the same again. It reminded me of that History Channel show Unsung Heroes.

It redeems both the prequels and the originals.

Dude, the couple in front of me last night had a 6-month old baby - at a midnight showing. Thus, I think that you can risk twelve bucks to take your shaved head and ass out to see some Star Wars.

OK you puckers. I'll ask you this one Q and base my decision off that:

Did you like the last one or consider it total fail (as I did) but feel this one makes up for it?

If the former, your opinion is invalid!

If the latter, I'll go when I hit CONUS next week!

TFA was ....a'ight at first but probably would not watch it again. A year later made me think it was kinda half assed

RO was on a different level entirely.
It probably would have gotten an R rating had one person cussed. That's how intense the last battle is.

There was no glory in it. It was literally a war in the stars.

Look at it this way, think Saving Pvt Ryan meets Star Wars...
