Bitch session? I shared my experience as someone who is not biased and likes Eotech with the hope that if anyone is still on the fence like I was, reconsiders it and sends them back for a refund while it's still ongoing.

    Yep.
You even admitted that you're "beating a dead horse" & "venting" in your OP. (That translates to 'another bitch session'.)
So all that's going to come out this is the already redundant thread subject of how crappy EOTechs are & how awesome Aimpoints are.

    But...

You could've avoided the issue all together & took advantage of the refund.

    Or...

Send it back to EOTech for repairs.

(Thankfully, these are still your options).

If it makes you feel better though... EOTechs suck & Aimpoints are awesome.

I feel pretty good, but it's very nice of you to ask.
And Aimpoints are far from awesome, while they never failed me, I saw my share of them broken and even a T2 that was messed up straight out of the box.

But you are right, this will probably turn into a classic Aimpoint vs EoTech debate which leads to nothing. Like stated earlier, my intent was to make people reconsider keeping them.

Honestly, I don't mean to take a dump on your thread but these threads all turn out the same.

I am; however, genuinely interested in what you think of the MRO. I'd like to get one myself but I'd like to handle one locally first.

    It's all good.
Take a look at the last page (page 54) of this thread, it's golden to me and is the reason I finally ordered an MRO:
    https://www.m4carbine.net/showthread...con-RDS/page54
Digital Damage knows his optics. I also had an awesome conversation with the guys at Scalarworks who assured me that all the current MRO's are as good as they can be. And if I don't like it, I can return it.

Also check out these two links:
    http://soldiersystems.net/2016/03/08...thermal-drift/
    https://www.trijicon.com/na_en/support/faq_MRO.php

The above two pieces of information also mean a lot to me, I love when a company does not gloss over and call everything "perfect". It's a mass produced optic, it never will be perfect no matter if it's Aimpoint, Schmidt & Bender or Trijicon.

    Thanks for the info.

I followed the M4C thread for a little while but had given up on it because of the typical forum reasons.

Bitch session? A bitch session would be complaining about how difficult the caps on an ACOG are to loosen off, or how the gap between the trigger guard and the pistol grip on an AR tend to leave a blister. EOTech optics are garbage, they don't work as advertised and EOTech/L3 has admitted to such as well as lying about the issues for nearly a decade. This isn't a bitch session so much as it's the hard facts of a poorly built product being peddled by an unscrupulous management team.

There's the Chairman of the EOTech Hate Club. Everyone knows your opinion of them & nobody cares.

    Give it a rest.
