As an aside, would you guys run an optic or just use irons on a PDW/"backpack" gun? I'm not seeing where this might be the best use for a $750 Aimpoint T-2.
The 100m shot will be easier with the dot, even if you have to hold over. I would probably use HK416-height sights (and keep them folded) and put the Aimpoint in an HK416 true-co-witness-height mount.

And unless you happen to have a spare T-2, I'd buy an H-2 or an H-1. Unless you plan on going diving with it or running NODs mounted to the rail.

That is the RDS I ordered for the MPX. I also have some (more) HST 147gr +P coming. Even if I end up liking the 124 more it is still my favorite CCW ammo so it definitely won't go to waste!

My MPX's MRO with Bobro low mount should arrive today from mountsplus.com. I paid $564.90 for the package which is about $100 less than a T-1 in a Larue mount. I'll take pictures tonight.

That is a picture through the pipe of my MRO with Bobro low mount that arrived today. The cheek weld on the collapsible stock is about perfect in terms of picking up the dot. My only real complaint is the J. Lo (i.e. Thick Ass) factory front irons that occupy the lower 20% of the sight picture when looking through the MRO.

FWIW, I'm generally an Aimpoint guy with several T-1s and T-2s, but this seemed like a good chance to try something new. The optic is clearly not a true 1X but it will be close enough. There is also a faint blue tint to the glass. The Aimpoint also has a slightly lower profile but not enough to be a bother.

The Bobro mount is solid. It uses 4 screws to attach to the base. It is a little prominent on the left side of the gun which should be noted by SCAR fans who run their charging handle on that side.

Random tangent: Why the telescoping stock? Why not the folder?

Because the folder is on my MCX. Variety is the spice of life.

If - hypothetically - you could only have one on your MPX for the rest of forever, which one would you choose? Show your work. :P

Probably the folder. However, neither the folder nor the collapsing stock are optional shooting platforms. Compared to an AR stock, both sacrifice a lot in terms of comfort and cheek weld in the name of size reduction.

Keep in mind that the side folder positions you eye about 1.5 cm higher than the collapsing stock. Thus, the low mount used for the MRO in conjunction with the collapsing stock would need to be switched to a absolute or 1/3 co-witness mount if the side folder is to be used. Notice the absolute co-witness Larue mount being used on the MCX with side folder below:

neither, use the 100 gr corbon. the 147 gr wont expand in animals. 900 fps just dont get it in 9mm. in most cases, it does not do so in .45, either. my minimal acceptable velocity in 9mm is 1300 fps.
