Could have something to do with the buffer/ comp/ flash hider differences aswell

All in all its more or less the same price for me to just get the noveske and sell the 6920 barrel which I didn't expect

Adco price is 240$ after cut thread pin weld fh and gas block

    Noveske barrel is 380 shipped

At that rate I may as well do a brand new setup and I'm sure I can't go wrong with a noveske

Nice pic on the cerakote, I've got mine stripped to drop off tomorrow doing something similar.

I picked up a 249f and tried it on my 16" , it's a huge difference from a brake in muzzle rise but some tuning may solve some of it. The 249 had zero flash and certainly has an interesting "PINNGGG!" Sound to it haha

I've decided to cut down the barrel I already have and pin the 249 after a lengthy conversation with my gunsmith.

I'll post a few photos in a week or 2!

Jumping in late to the thread but I have a 13.7 mid Noveske barrel. Best/most accurate shooter I have. Shoots about .6 moa 5 round groups. Have a few 10 round groups at 1moa. With MK262's. You can run H3 buffers with the mid gas noveske barrel. They are a little over gassed. Also, you can run Vltor A5H4 with or without E-Carriers. I see no reason to have a 13.7 carbine barrel. With that said, I have custom chop 13.1 inch mid gas barrels with .074-6 gas ports. That is a typical 16 inch mid BCM, or DD port size. From the few examples I have. Sorry, I Have no chrono info for you. Here is a pic of one of my 13.7s when it was put together a year and half ago.. It is a SBR. Think its .2 short of the 16inch mark with the SFMB.

H3 in a 13.7 mid? Wow that must be over gassed, I've got nothing to worry about there.

Since I own the 16 I dropped it off to get cut and pinned, if it runs as well as expected I may do another with the noveske. My main concern was the velocity at 13.7

Now if I can decide on a cerakote job i can finish this thing!

H3 isn't saying much as far as gas goes. Even properly gassed guns run H3s no problem. Every factory rifle or SBR I've run on the last many many years run H3s like a top. Heck even Under gassed examples, with ports people say are way to small still run H3s with any quality 5.56 ammo. This day in age we see many barrels (cough.. DD) have excessively large ports to compensate for the poor ammo choice of a lot of consumers..

13.7 barrel with be Meyers flash hider

Good point, would vary brand to brand on port size.

I've always stuck with standard H on mids and H2 on Carbines though this is my first venture into shorter barrels

I was always told under 14.5 should be carbine for dwell time but I can't even keep up with all the advances manufactures are coming up with lately
