    Cutting down a stock?????????

I need to cut down my wife's Remington 870 Magnum 20 GA stock and it is already a youth version. She is just really short and has a little arm reach. I need to take off about 4" and need to know where I might find a new shorter recoil pad to go back on it.
Any ideas would be much appreciated...Thanks.

I have heard really good things about Limbsaver recoil pads.

Here is a link to Brownells: Limbsaver

4" is an awful lot off a youth stock. Have you had a professional fit her for the right length of pull?

Also, is there 4" to be cut off before you hit the connecting rod on a youth stock?

Well, I ended up taking 1" off the stock and 3" off the barrel. It was a 21" barrel and they could not order me an 18"...so with the help of my handy angle grinder, she now has an 18" barrel with overal length of 36".
