Exactly what you are talking about here...

    Gun owners and 2A supporters...
I do not care what Johnson thinks he believes in and writes down on paper. He's running for head of the show. #1 Job of the new president is to appoint a new Justice to replace Scalia. Currently, his best two candidates for SCOTUS are Garland and someone like Breyer.

Which is more dangerous? Trump who has already listed several pro 2A justice candidates, or Johnson, who has offered that his ideal nominees would be like Breyer or Garland? Breyer and Garland are lefties through and through, and Johnson bobbleheaded his way through Weld's commentary on them.

    Pure ignorance on the issue.

Narrow-mindedness and single issue voters is what got us where we are with Trump vs Hillary as the majority, and what gt Obama elected for two terms. It's ****ed up. Hillary is going to win, and there frankly isn't much voters can do about it at this point.

Gun owners and 2A supporters can just plan for the absolute worst at this point. I'll post this one again though, Since you failed to read it last time.

Possibly because I'd rather take a slow walk to hell than a rocket sled and hope we can improve things with the time provided.

If Johnson had the same numbers as Trump, I'd be voting for Johnson. But he doesn't.

Look, if someone is a Johnson donor, get online, get in his inbox, send a smoke signal....

Let him know that Breyer and Garland are unsat. Tell him it's important, because in January or February 2017, the new President will need to fill Antonin Scalia's vacant seat. Tell him that Heller and McDonald hinge on his pick. A "liberal centrist" isnt going to work for the 2A. Degradation of the 2A degrades all the others. It's important to not stand on his interview where he allowed Weld to proffer Garland and Breyer as ideal candidates for their ticket.

    Go now. Tell him.

Trump's platform is solid, well needed facelift to the GOP. Do you have any issues with his actual platform? I'm assuming you do considering you consider this a "lesser of two evils" choice (I actually felt that way in 2004, 2008 & 2012, 2000 was my first time voting and I didn't know any better), I'm just curious to hear what it is you actually dislike about his platform?... Or is it you falling for Alinsky tactics, specifically rule #13 “Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.” Cut off the support network and isolate the target from sympathy. Go after people and not institutions; people hurt faster than institutions. (of course YOU couldn't possibly fall for those tactics knowing those are the tactics of the left, right?)

Seriously though, let him siphon off as many BLM votes as possible. They won't be voting for Trump regardless. And conservative voters won't be voting for him if he is sucking up to the BLM crowd.

The only real threat, is conservatives who vote for him rather than "Drumf" and help put Hillary into place. That is assuming Johnson can't close the gap and match the numbers Trump is getting.

And if that happens, I don't give a shit about him sucking up to the BLM crowd. He will never cater to them to the extent Hillary will. I don't give a shit about his anti gun VP, Weld would never be as anti gun as Hillary or her VP. I don't give a shit about him wanting felons to be allowed to vote, he will never support it to the extent that Hillary will.

    Here is the reality.

    1. Trump is a better option than Hillary in every way, shape and form.

    2. Johnson is a better option than Hillary in every way, shape and form.

When it comes time to vote, whoever has the biggest numbers is the one to vote for.

Neither of them are perfect so everyone needs to get over their "dream candidate." Rand Paul didn't happen for me either. And if I can figure out that even McCain (who I absolutely despise) and Romney (who I simply loathe) were both better options than Obama then I can't for the life of me understand why everyone can't figure out that both Johnson and Trump are dramatically preferable to Hillary.

Hillary will actually be worse than Obama. Don't think otherwise for a second. You don't have to like Trump, you don't have to think Johnson has a realistic chance, but for godsakes don't do something retarded that puts Hillary in the White House so she can stack the Supremes.

Trump won't be Reagan, Johnson won't be Paul, but sure as shit Hillary will be Hillary.

I seriously can't even believe I have to have this discussion, especially here.

Oh, for sure, if Johnson suddenly starts polling at 49% via Quinnipiac or RealClearPolitics or Nate Silver, (and Trump drops to Johnson-type numbers) then I am voting for Johnson. I will also be writing a sternly worded letter to his campaign, if it starts trending that direction, that says he needs to float out folks like Andrew Napalitano as SCOTUS picks -- like he flirted with in February.

    If Hillary appoints Scalia's, Kennedy's, Breyer's and Ginsburg's replacements. We're cooked.

But Trump is a die hard Repub who has not done a total 180 on every major issue... Yes, voters are easy to fool, and apparently too lazy to actually research. If a " a democrat in libertarian clothing" is as pro 2A as GJ has been his entire career (as a GOP Gov no less), I'll take a " a democrat in libertarian clothing" any day vs a flip flopper like HC, Romney, or Trump thanx.
