So. Um...not to be petulant...but where is it?

If you want to make God laugh, tell him your plans.

We landed some Mil and LE contracts that took up most of our production capacity. We're getting back on track but we won't start cutting parts for the LDM/Mag until June, which means the earliest launch date will be in July.

Thanks for hanging in there this far.

Can you tell us any details about your mag mount in comparison to the twist off/ flip to side features of the new factory aimpoint mount?

What I can say at this stage:

    • Single pivot flip-to-side short-throw mechanism.
    • Symmetrical design for either right or left handed operation.
    • Same overall width as all of our Low Drag Mounts.
    • Dedicated absolute (1.42") and lower-third (1.57") height versions.
    • 7075-T6 base and swingarm/ring.
    • Our patented QD thumbscrew/ball-detent mechanism.
    • Only 2.66oz for absolute and 2.75oz for lower-third.

    Sorry, misread.

We don't like running tall mounts so I wouldn't hold my breath.

Has anyone had any updates with their experience with the Aimpoint 3XMag-1 and/or Aimpoint 6XMag-1? I am looking to replace my EOTech G33 with one or the other, and am wondering if the 6x is simply too much for the role, given its limit FOV and alleged tight eyebox. This would be going on an 11.5" with a CompM5; I have no interest in an LPVO for this gun, I have other guns that are already equipped with quality LPVOs.
Plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose.

The eyebox at 6x isn't as good as some larger LPVOs but at 1X it's infinite so IMO it's really not as important of a performance factor as it is with LPVOs.

As LPVOs have gotten more popular, it seems like red-dot / magnifier combos are becoming less popular.
