M80A1 (.308 Version of the new M855A1)

Can anyone find any info or tests on this stuff? American Reloading has the projectiles for sale, at about the same price as .308 AP Projectiles HERE

I'm not looking for "armor piercing stuff", just that M855A1 was very impressive in gel and I was wondering if the .308 variant had similar performance. Cool that the projectiles are available though, a bit pricey though!

Kinda pointless. The purpose of the steel tip is penetration. By nature the .300BLK is slow which is not what a penetrating round needs.
