The mod 2 gas system is a change from the previous models.
The KAC cans are pretty good. I've used their QDC line and older models with good results. Also have AAC and SF and others, the KAC system is good. I don't regret having there line of cans or their competitors. They all have different attributes. Some of the Sig and other brands have done well. Just depends on the users priorities for uses.
I dunno, the MAMS 556/762, the current QDC suppressor line, the mod 2 gas system length, the mod 2 gas tube attachment method, the URX 4 trail attachment method, the mod 2 gas block attachment method, the steady refinement of the SR25 EMC concept.
You know. Stuff like that.

I was replying to a comment that resembled a poorly structured No Real Scotsman assertion. While KAC are certainly not the only innovators, they are at or near the top of that list. Noveske, as they currently exist, are near the bottom of the same list.
Noveske is the Dale Earnhardt Enterprises of the AR world, post-Dale-Sr.
Shit. RIP, JN.

OP you should change the carrier if you want smoother shooting.I kid! Congrats. Please report back with some observations after shooting.
I don't have an SR-15...yet.
But I do have an SR-25. Honestly, the MAMS really shines on a 7.62. It feels almost like a .223.
While it would no doubt perform well, you're just making a 5.56 louder and the normal FH that comes with it accepts the QDC suppressor anyways.
So it's a chunk of money to make a 5.56 softer recoiling
But on a 7.62 they are no doubt a must have.
