    Actually there is an auto off feature. It's called Auto Dim/Auto Power Off and is found on page 3 of the manual. It says if no button is touched within 12 hours the unit will shut down, and return to your setting when you turn it back on. I have tested this feature and it works.

    The model I have has a dial. No buttons. Newer version must have this feature.

    Sorry, I thought you were talking about the Spitfire AR, and not the original Spitfire.
