I like cleaning with gasoline too, but only when I smoke.

I get your joke, but a cigarette won't light gasoline. It will light vapors though.

The ignition temp is what it is. A cigarette will not light it. When you inhale the temp goes up and may light it, don't know off hand what that temp is. It needs O2 to burn so only vapors and the surface will burn.

The explosion hazard is actually pretty slim as octane is quite volatile. The health hazards from long term exposure are a different story.

With products like mpro 7, why?

I use Hoppes 9 to clean the barrel. Everything else gets CLP. I've been meaning to try some SLIP2000.

I used to use Break Free CLP. Switched to Slip2000 EWL and it seems to last longer.

If any alcohol leaches in between the receiver & receiver extension it may not dry fast and there is some chance it can damage aluminum.
