    Early Gen 4 RSA question

My google fu is not coming through for me, so hopefully someone can shed some light.

The early Glock Gen 4s had a non recessed "flat nose ring." Later versions were recessed. Led to two styles of RSAs. Seems that now they are the same for both. Question: For those with the early non recessed "flat nose ring" Gen 4 Glock, is there a special RSA or is the 0-2-4 the answer for both platforms?

Here's a link to the earlier info on this forum:

    And here's a photo GlockRecoilSpringsweb.jpg

    Thanks!

There's a good write-up of the Glock RSAs' progress in this other forum's thread:

The latest RSA is the answer for both types of Gen4 slides.

Thanks, but this article ends with Glock still using different RSAs for the flat nose ring and recessed nose ring versions.

I'll rephrase. The 0-2-4 is the answer for a G17Gen4 or G34Gen4. There is no other current RSA for these models, whether recessed or un-recessed slide nose.
Refer to the Glock Parts Lists here: https://us.glock.com/customer-servic...able-materials

    Early Gen 4 RSA question

The above posts are correct. Glock now offers the same type of Gen4 recoil spring assemblies to be used across the product line, slide recess or not.
My very early production Gen4 G19 & G22 don't have the recess in the front of the slide and both came with an unmarked spring assembly. The updated springs Glock sent me are what currently come in all models with the recess.
Both of mine have been flawless through at least 1,000 rounds each after installing the newest style recoil spring for each model. They also both seat fine on in the unrecessed slide. Don't worry, the 0-2-4 will run fine in your pistol.

This is the same information I have from my Glock manuals.
