You can shoot the lighter stuff. "Over stabilized" is a way over hyped theory and something I have never seen in actual shooting.

To the point of really good groups with super light varmint bullets even though some bullets were coming apart.

Are you looking to reload or buy off the shelf in quantity? Hard to beat federal or black hills for off the shelf.

My 700 SPS Tac in .308 is 1:12 twist and shoots 168s very well. Unless the twist rate is marked on the barrel, yours is 1:12 too and should the lighter bullets just fine.

Mine's 1/10. It's a 20". Yours a 16"?
